From May 13 to 15, two representatives of the San Crispín Cooperative participated in the third meeting of the European consortium GOV4ALL, held in the heart of the Drôme Valley in France, in the incomparable setting of the Ecosite du Val de Drôme campus, in the town of Eurre. The meeting was part of the European project in which the entity participates together with GOB Menorca, Rayën Soluciones Agronómicas and the University of Valencia, forming a multidisciplinary team committed to soil regeneration and territorial governance in Mediterranean agricultural environments.
As we have already explained on other occasions, in this project, San Crispín contributes its experience as a link between production and the needs of responsible consumption. Their commitment is to support local farmers in improving regenerative practices, with the aim of producing higher quality food, grown in healthier lands, and accessible through their different stores so that it reaches the final consumer. This commitment will not only benefit producers, but will also allow them to offer better quality to partners and customers, thus strengthening a fairer, more sustainable and rooted food chain in our territory.
For three intense days, the five European Living Labs of the consortium, from different regions involved in the ecological transition, shared learnings, methodologies and results around improving soil health, agricultural resilience and the involvement of local actors. Through participatory workshops, field visits and spaces for reflection, they identified common challenges and outlined lines of joint work to advance towards a regenerative model based on collaboration between science, territory and citizens. From San Crispín, we want to highlight these spaces for exchange and knowledge transfer, key to promoting sustainable practices that allow us to restore our landscapes, care for the soil and generate a positive impact on the territory.
The next European meeting of the GOV4ALL consortium will take place in Lesbos (Greece) next autumn, where the fourth meeting between Living Labs will be held. San Crispín will again attend to explain the latest actions developed in Menorca and will continue working to promote a regenerative agri-food model, rooted in the territory and connected to the needs of its partners and consumers.
We continue to learn, share and build change from the local to the European level.
